About you:
- Communicates well verbally and written format
- Process oriented, takes initiative and offers solutions
- Replies to clients in 24 hours or less
- Humble, hungry and can easily pick up on social cues from others
- Focused on caring for people
- Super comfortable on the computer, able to move quickly between programs and quickly learn new technologies
- Able to recognize priorities and meet deadlines
- Capable of multi-tasking many small tasks, good with people, vigilant about the details, and desires to be a part of something larger than themselves
General Qualifications:
- Instead of asking questions, a bookkeeping manager offers solutions & options
- Has a college degree in Accounting or equivalent in experience
- Holds/maintains a title of ProAdvisor with Intuit, passing one of the Advance Certifications
- Competent with desktop and online versions of QuickBooks
Management Responsibilities:
- Review client financial statements quarterly with each account manager & provide feedback for any odd transactions or how to deal with client situations mentor
- Confirm all reconciliations have been completed correctly for bank & credit card accounts
- Review acct manager’s work to show they are current & QB register balances match the statements
- Email account managers on changes that need to be made in the client’s QB file.
- Review QB file for any W-9s needed to be completed. Remind account managers of requirements & deadlines
- Give insight to the acct manager for potential financial/business issues that might need attention. Encourage acct manager to question/check in with the client for best communication.
- Make sure balance sheet in QuickBooks matches tax return balance sheet, if applicable.
- Make sure account managers keep the client communication sheet updated with notes on client status so that any acct manager can pick up where they left off.
- Communicate with client when miscommunications happen, stepping in when the client fails to communicate with our company or to figure out options if the client is uneasy.
- Provide annual business health checkup for selected clients. Make a schedule for all clients to confirm last completed checkup.
- Guide the account managers on sending monthly tips out with financial statements.
- Be a visionary of anticipating what the client needs and create actions steps to providing the client peace of mind
- Watch Account Manager’s time spent on files to ensure work is being done within budget
- Review transactional history for clients to decide when a client may outgrow their flat rate package. Make suggestions on scope of work and reasonable time requirements.
- Plan/schedule quarterly check-ins with client and have client relations manager make phone calls to ensure client satisfaction. Relay to acct mger what comments client had.
- Work with our Intuit contact for any technical issues with QBO
- On-board new account manager team members
- On-board new bookkeeping clients to get started and distribute to account manager
- Prepare comprehensive Business Assessments for potential clients

Professional Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Can enter multiple line deposits
- Understands and can post transactions to gross wages, payroll taxes and payroll expenses
- Can set up bank accounts for downloading in desktop
- Has a basic understanding of business entities, knowing to inquire how some transactions will affect the financial statements differently
- Understands loans, splitting interest and principal
- Understands the chart of accounts and can post transactions accurately and find miscategorized transactions in a Profit and Loss Detail
- Knows not to delete or void transactions in a closed tax period. Can create journal entries to fix errors
- The vendor list and customer list in QuickBooks is clean, free from spelling or punctuation errors, no duplications
- Has had an opportunity to use Zoom, GoToMeeting or Skype to do screen sharing with clients
- In QBO, feels comfortable using the accept/exclude/undo tabs in bank feeds
- Can enter bills and pay bills within QuickBooks
- Knows to be proactive and collect all data for 1099’s during the year, including marking vendors in QBO
- Knows how to post transactions with sales tax and pay sales tax in QB
- Has a basic understanding that some categories are taxed differently and can thus categorize the transactions in the accurate account
- Able to enter journal entries with a good understanding of credits and debits
- Can easily post interest and depreciation
- Able to notice discrepancies and clean up financial statements
- Communicates with clients with some guidance on more difficult issues

Hourly compensation based on proficiency skills. Available between 25 – 30 hours a week.
